Journal photo by Travis Nelson Negaunee The boys followed a similar blueprint to the girls game — Negaunee keeping it close in the first half before a Westwood run flipped the game around. Beckman only scored four second-half points as his teammates stepped up. Carlson scored eight in the second half as six others also scored, including Nickolas Salzwedel netting eight points and Garrett Sundberg seven. Alexander had six points in the first quarter for Cedar Ridge but it was senior guard Timasha Hamilton who sent the message as she took the opening top and drained a three point shot form the right corner.
