LOL No idea how to change the language but I still manage to connect to my router's wifi network. No too much a con for me but might be for others. The instruction booklet never mention how to change language. Once set, you need to press the reset button on the device in other to reedit it again as it will redirect you back to the router's config menu when the wifi extender config is already set. Cons: Product install was not as easy and not as user friendly as the box suggests. I installed the product, but, i am not really getting any better connection speed than before.
I registered the product and then had few questions, so I tried to do the chat on Netgear website, but, chat is not allowed. I tried calling, but, it keeps saying, "let me know when you are ready to enter your serial number" and never got the opportunity to say Yes and enter serial number. I have done 3 emails with Netgear support and i am told that only email support is available or calling, but the calling does not work.
I think I am going to return the product if I am not completely satisfied. Cons: When it doesn't work, it has to be completely reset and reconfigured. This needs to be done more than once every 2 weeks for functioning optimally which shows its instability to be completely unacceptable.

After a trying installation process made even more difficult by the fact that virtually no instructions on how to setup the unit were included, I was actually quite surprised at how well it worked. It boosted my wear 2-bar signal to a full 5 bars; which it maintained for as long as it was working. Unfortunately, the unit goes in and out of connectivity which forced me to frequently have to switch back to my main weak wifi signal.
It would come back in a few minutes, but it was still a hassle. Finally, after about 4 months of usage, the unit just stopped connecting to the internet. It's recognized by the computer and shows full signal strength, but it just doesn't provide internet access anymore.
I've tried restoring factory setting and reconfiguring the settings, but it still fails to connect to the internet. I may try a more expensive unit since at least now I know these types of products actually work. Cons: The setup process only seems easy. Because data traffic routed through the Extender is inherently slower than traffic routed directly from the network, the computer should stay on the network if the connection is good enough.
The Extender LEDs can help you tell if the extender is correctly set up and working as it should. The ideal location to place the Extender is half-way between your wireless router and your computer.
The best connection is established when there is a clear line of sight between the Extender and the wireless router and also a clear line of sight between the Extender and the computer you are using. If this straight path is blocked by a thick wall or other materials, move the Extender to a different location half-way between the computer and the router. If there is no power outlet nearby, or you prefer to place the Extender elsewhere, move the Extender closer to the computer.
Note that you might have to unplug the Extender as you move it to a different location. If you do, from the new location, power up the Extender and continue to check the LEDs. Usually, you connect to the Extender wirelessly, but you can use its LAN port to connect a wired device such as an Ethernet-enabled gaming console, printer, or PC.
